Personal Applications:
If you would like to know more about ministry opportunities with our Native Alliance ministry, please contact our office. We are looking for church planters, pastors, evangelists, and support staff to work with this growing denominational native work.
The process for applying is very simple. Upon your request, our office will forward to you a C&MA Application for Alliance Ministry packet, complete with application forms, doctrinal questionnaire, our Statement of Faith, and other documents for your completion and signature. Once returned to one of our C&MA geographic district offices, they would set up an appointment for you to meet with their Licensing, Ordination and Consecration Council (LO&CC) for approval for licensing. This is done in consultation with our Association leadership as well.
Potential church planters are required to go through a professional assessment of ministry skills, competencies and abilities, and then participate in a Church Planter’s Boot Camp training, which is available regionally through the Church Multiplication Training Center (CMTC) prior to placement. To know more about what the Church Planter’s Boot Camp has to offer, please visit the CMTC’s website at www.cmtcmultiply.org. The C&MA is one of the partnering denominations with CMTC.
Pastoral candidates would be considered for existing churches that have pastoral vacancies at the time of application.
Church Planting Partnerships:
The Native Alliance is interested in developing partnerships with local C&MA and other churches who are interested in effectively reaching the Native American community within their local area. Many Alliance churches nationwide have Native communities right around them, and it is our desire to help equip your church to have an effective ministry to this often neglected people group in our own back yard.
We offer training of your church leaders on how to develop intentional Native ministry through your church, in partnership with us, so that every tribe in America can have a relevant, meaningful outreach of the gospel to them. Should your church have a lay team or lay couple that is willing to invest in local Native ministry with the intent of planting a Native church - we can help train and oversee their ministry.
Already these partnerships are beginning to emerge as we work together to reach Native America with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Cross Cultural Youth Missions Trips:
A number of our Native Alliance churches have welcomed and encouraged the ministry of youth teams from other congregations in their communities. Often these groups work together with the local native people in conducting summer time Vacation Bible Schools, work projects, etc. While we welcome such partnerships (some of our existing workers were first exposed to Native ministry through such trips), we maintain that we do not want an imbalance of outside groups and people doing the work that the local people should be doing.
We believe that the most effective way of cross-cultural working together is a two-way street, and not just a one-way street, from the non-Native churches to the Native churches. We welcome outside groups to experience Native ministry first hand who are willing to let our Native churches and leaders impact their churches as well in return.
If your church group is interested in visiting one of our Native Alliance congregations, please notify our Association office at least one year in advance. There is normally a large number of groups that want to come, and it is on a first come, first served basis. All groups are screened based upon the above stated criteria.
If you have personal interest, or if your church is interested in partnering with us to reach the Native people in your area, or if you are interested in a two way partnership of ministry and work for your group, please contact us at the address below:
